Many customers are already benefiting from the combined companies’ services. “Northern Voice & Data has provided fundamental network and IT services to our organization for the past 12 years,” says Trisha Clouthier, Manager of Special Projects with Cambrian Insurance. “When we learned of their relationship with Sunwire, the decision became easier to move our phone services [to Sunwire].”
She adds: “Sunwire has given us the ability to move to a central call answering solution. In addition to increasing our efficiencies, our new phone system has allowed us to connect all of our locations across Northern Ontario.”
Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, the companies will still operate as separate entities. All staff and operations are being maintained while new dollars are invested in educating existing employees, hiring new team members, upgrading facilities and acquiring new equipment.
Sunwire will continue to provide Internet and telephone solutions, while Northern Voice & Data will concentrate on cloud services, managed IT services and video surveillance.Ed Donaldson, President and CEO of Northern Voice & Data
Alex Levesque, VP of Sales with Sunwire, praises the transition, “The combination of our teams allows us to provide reliable high-quality business solutions that are easy to use and easy to manage. This is important to companies who are looking for a ‘one-stop shop’ when it comes to technology.”
